by Todd Freyburger We tend to only ban the Erdani as too powerful. My group considers them to easy to purchase a end game tech too quickly, like a Round 1 purchase of Quantum Grid and the like.

by jarkun Hmmm...the FAQ on p30 of the main rulebook states you can "trade money for other resources"this use of the word for is consistent with "3 others for 2 money"

by BiglandThe Syndicate's board shows the "3" in the 3 for 2 trade rate in the money colour. Hence they can trade 3 money for 2 of another resource.
