Sorry, what I said is true when you say "trade X for Y".
For "trade rate for money" I would use analogy with currencies exchange rates. Lets say rate for USD to EUR is 0.66 (which I can write as 1:0.66, multiply by 3 it is 3:2) = for 3USD I get 2EUR. So I say "trade rate for USD is 3:2.
Does it make sense?
