Yep, it seems leaving an alliance if you find a stronger ally is better than staying as if you stay you get stuck.
Why would you be stuck?
Assuming that when a player leaves an alliance they are allowed to join another alliance, why would that not include all members of the alliance?
Let's assume a 6 Player game:
Turn 2 Players A and B found the Nova Alliance
Turn 3 Player B leaves the Nova Alliance
Turn 4 Players B and C found the Vortex Alliance
This leaves Player A the only remaining member of the Nova Alliance, and according to the Rule book, on page 11:
You can leave the Alliance during any of your actions in the Action Phase by flipping your Alliance Tile the Betrayer side up before taking
the action.
There is no mention of how many active members there must be in an alliance to do this. Why can't a one member alliance quit down to zero?
Therefore it should possible for Player A to leave the Nova Alliance, and then be free join Players B and C in the Vortex Alliance, or Player A could found the Flare Alliance with Player D, E, or F.
Right?
