Tried this in a game on Sunday. We used the original design, although we agree the revised one is probably better. The player who got it was Exiles, who had not faced any ancients, and already managed to build most of their Orbitals. It no impact on actual fights, although it was used in an attempt to take the centre it didn't actually need to fire. I send an interceptor in, during that attack, to fire a rocket at the battlestation, but missed with the crucial red dice. Other than that it's impact was purely psychological. Exiles still lost that game due to a combined effort by the other two players to find a route past the centre into Exiles back systems.

We'll definitely play with it again, but, as I said, probably the (latest) revised version
