If that is common sense, how would you define "the one who is currently most adversarial towards you" in rules terms?

If you go by "disagreement means defaulting", this just means that fighting ancients becomes political. You get to game the system if, and only if, you can make a deal with another player to 'disagree'.

"I can attack you, or I can attack the ancient cruiser instead if you promise to default their targetting to my meat shields. What do you say?"


Then I can resort to, "Let me win this game, or I will punch you all in the face"

We have always decided which things to hit, and have never had a disagreement about it. Whichever option would do the most damage and reduce their chances of winning the fight.
