I agree that the current ruling of "you're now allowed to do that" makes the most sense given the rest of the game. Obviously you should never be allowed to move your enemies' ships, but transporting allied ships with their owner's permission *feels* different.

As a house rule, allowing allied cruisers/dreadnoughts to transport interceptors of any member of the alliance could be pretty cool (and somewhat thematic). I may have to give this a try as a house rule sometime.
