I have to say I like to play Green, but in Eclipse, the appeal isn't there.
I always take green if I can. :p (or should it be :gulp:)
And I should say that our group doesn't consciously/subconsciously correlate colours and races; a habit I made sure wasn't picked up from the start.
If they want to be red Machanema, they can be. Green Descendants? Go for it. 21 games of Eclipse under my belt, I'd have gone nuts by now if every green player was Planta/angry librarian Terrans.
