So like many when i received the new expansion I had to figure out how to store everything all in one box for portability. So this is what i came up with:
First I added all the ship upgrades into my Plano 3601 I had to do some rearranging and its pretty full now but it works. I then pulled out the insert and found a Plano 3750 that stores all the other pieces and the tiles (exp + base). To get the tiles in the box perfect i had to take a knife and trim these small nubs that hold the removable divider and some other weird nubs sticking down from the lid. The only downfall of this solution was after putting the plano boxes, alien races cards (exp + base), the technology & VP bag & rules. I was only able to fit 6 of the player bags in the box. I then put the pieces the new player color pieces in the expansion box for on the very very rare occasion I get a HUGE game of Eclipse in. Most times I will be playing with 6 or less so this will work to accomodate those games without lugging to boxes around to game night. I think this would also work well for storing the base game alone also.
