I actually have the French version of Eclipse but I don't really notice any more due to the symbols, colours etc. I think being language independent is both a positive and a negative.On the one hand you don't have to spend time reading and you get the situation straight away. But I've heard some complaints about lack of "flavour" which can be given by cards and add to the narrative, politics, secret missions, alliances etc.
Do people think the expansion will maintain the lack of necessary in game text?
